Thoughts on Accidentally In Love

Usually when exams are around the corner , I like to destress by watching movies , tv shows or binge watch any sort of asian dramas that are on Netflix. I tend to look for those that are very warm/light hearted  to watch, since I don't need any more stress from complex or annoying plot. After minutes of looking through countless shows, I ended up choosing to watch the Chinese drama , Accidentally in Love.

PLOT

A beautiful heiress, Chen QingChen, escapes her arranged wedding, by disguising her appearance into a poor plain girl. She ends up going to Ming De Collage,  where her parents met and graduated from, using her disguised identity, Chen QingQing.  There she becomes entangled with the famous idol, Situ Feng , whom she met previously  and had a bad experience during the night she was escaping. The story revolves around these two, and the many obstacles they go through both in private and public as they continue to develop their feelings towards each other .

THOUGHTS

I like how each episodes is only about 25-30 mins each and doesn't make me feel tired.  It also help that each episode has its funny moments which is sometimes  very unexpected. For instance, theres a very serious or romantic moment, then all of a sudden nature or other stuff will disrupt it turning it to a light-hearted moment instead . I found this really amusing and I think this the reason why this show was very addicting to me.

Though Im not going to lie there was some moments which I  found very cliche or childish, or  moments where the acting was lacking.  However, childish or cliche it may be, I had such a fun time watching this drama and the acting is great enough to portray the emotions needed to be shown.

The characters  Chen QingChen/QingQing and Situ Feng were very adorable to me. I love how they always bicker with each other and get into hilarious situations together. I also really like those moments when they play instruments and every time  Situ Feng sings.
Not only the lead characters, but I also fell in love with the side characters,  Lin Yiyang, a troublemaker who is in conflict with the Situ Feng, and Zhao Fangfang, a kind and pretty girl that is friends and share rooms with QingChen . Maybe because Im a big fan of bad boy and kind girl being together, I anticipated the development of their relationship way more than QingChen's and Situ Feng. Anyways , this was a very good drama and I definitely recommend it to those who wants a good laugh and wants to get a toothache from all the sweetness ;)
